Last night was a blast :)
It has been a while i joined some Toastmasters event! Yesterday I headed over to Taylors Uni for their International Speech and Table Topics Contest and at night, joined HELP UC TMC Installation Dinner @ The Terrace, Royale Bintang Hotel.

The food there were good. Dinner started soon after most of the people have arrived. Starting with starters, main course, meats and some desserts after! I was totally bloated.

18th Semi Annual TI Convention

This is such an overdue post. Initially i was quite uncertain whether i should post this up or not because photos are less. and what most important is that i doesn't looks nice in the photos :( :(

However, since am bored here i decided to post it up! :D
This was last two months in October when i attended the 18th Semi Annual Toastmasters International Convention in KL.

This time, i am not the guest but one who worked behind the scene. I was a DJ, helping out Arthur to play the songs and also performer to perform the 'Nobody' dance.

Damn freaking shy! Thanks to Wan Chern for teaching me patiently. She is a 100% Wonder Girls fans! Nice to meet all the girls too! :D We all are from different schools and age.

Glad to meet Arthur! He was super nice person! :D

Photos session begin soon after the whole program was done! :D

The right one was Andy, the Entertainment Director! :D

Catwoman and I. Damn, sexy chick. lol :D Toastmasters from Penang!
DTM = Distinguish Toastmasters.
It's the highest title of all. I GOT IT! and the 1million USD. wtf right :D :D

It was sucha brilliant experience. Trying something new. Running in and out the hall to serve best as the DJ and performer. This time i worked behind the scene which i really get to know a lot on how people organize events. It really needs tight cooperation and long period of time to create good piece of work. Thanks to Jaime and other Toastmasters for the chance! :D

It should consider one of the proudest thing i may admit in year 2o1o. LOL.

Stepping down

Six months.

Today, is the last meeting for this term. Today, is the last meeting for me to deliver my presidential speech and closing address. It was simply amazing. The guests and members have brighten up my day. The meeting was filled with laughter and I thank Amanda Low to join our meeting!

[Don't let the noise drown you]

The last speech i delivered in the Competent Communicator Manual.
This is what happened to me last few months ago and it brought impact to me. I was once doubt my decision because of other people's opinion. Then, i learned. Not to listen to them. Not to let the noise of other people's opinion drown out my inner voice. I shall follow my heart instinct and intuition. I hope my personal stories are able to inspire the audience in the room! It is not easy!

The people around you, always tell you this cannot succeed, that cannot succeed. They leave their words behind you so you thought of it often and it often tend to hold you back. If, at that particular moment of time, I've chose to quit, I thought, i wouldn't have chance to feel the joy of being achieved a particular target and earn a trip to Singapore with free accommodation and free 1day pass to Universal Studio!

I feel glad and easy now :)
Still moving on.

District 51 Annual Convention @ Miri, Sarawak.

Bro said that so far, none of the presidents of HELP UC TMC have missed any convention. So, i guess i shouldn't be the one with exception. 1/2weeks after my Langkawi trip, am once again on board, going to the land opposite - Miri, Sarawak for 3days 2nights. It was my very first time to Sarawak and i love the green environment there.

First day, we were late due to the flight delay so we were not allowed to cast any votes :(
Our division is now named as G3 instead of W3 because the Division W is too big so we had to split and little issue happened with the changed of name G3. Somebody suggested X3. I actually thought that X3 was cool :)

Later at night, had a welcome night dinner at the same hall. The theme was "Denim". So i wore a white shirt and jeans to suit to theme. The foods was not very good. We then sneaked out to have some seafood dinner. My first time so close to them! All actually speak cantonese ==" haha. Misconception of Toastmasters only speak English. Fuh.

I swear the dishes are 10x yummier than what we can find in KL!

yes, i was actually wearing this tag for the 3days program @ Miri. Someone actually shook my hand and called me as Ernest Wong(my bro's name). haha! :D
Last night @ Miri. Gala night dinner with the theme "Black and White and tuxedo or something".
Thank God i have Jess with me for the 3days! :D

Hadzrin with Tuxedo and Jess smiling to the camera.
We left slightly earlier before the dinner ends and headed to the apartment for some little toasties gathering.
Around 12am, Jess and I went back to our hotel and had a great sleep till the other morning! :) Almost missed the finals for the International Speech! All stood up and gave applause for the champion of District 51, International Speech contest Steven Fernando.

Crab Island

Last few weeks ago, i headed to the crab island with the toasties. It was my ever first time agreed to go to trip with the toasties without hesitation! :)

We all gathered at KL Central McD @ 8o'clock in the morning!
Took ktm to the last station - Port Klang (1 and half hour). Took ferry then to Pulau Ketam(40minutes).
People chatting while waiting for the ferry. We bought tickets for around RM12.50/person for 2trips.
Camwhored using Jess and Jaime's DSLR. Cool pictures!
Vincent and Chee Hoong.
Yours truly.
Us!
Here we come crab island!
Jess being the pro photographer still wana take a shot of us before coming up.
Well, the journey to the crab island is not bored when we have lame jokers around like Vincent and Jason! lol. I swear Vincent was saying 'fuccckkkkkkkkkkk' you.
40minutes of boat ride! We were all in hungry state! Went to the restaurant and took our brunch. We ordered 7dishes.

2crabs, 1 steam fish, 1 squid, 1 dont know what, 1 vege and 1 plate of bun. Cost us about RM200 only for 12 people! Damn worth it :D
After that, we took the change to buy fried ice cream!
It was my ever first time to try fried ice cream. Well, nothing so special though :p
Visited the temples. Played with Jess's baby. Heavy thingy =="
Jess got real bored.
Pulau Ketam is not a very big island though. If you have the time, wanted to travel there just for a delicious seafood meal it's highly recommended!

KTM - RM 4.80/trip
Boat - RM 15(max) 2trips.
Food - RM20

Tell me worth it not? :)
