I blog hard almost everyday last time.
When I started to have advertisements in my blog.
I blog even harder to earn more money.
I've been blogging for like 1 year+.
No doubt that i have constant readers - my friends.
There are some readers come and go too.
When they go, i know there are less people read.
and i know, my blog makes them bored.
I started to feel insecure when there are less people viewing.
Then i think
Am i blogging for them or for myself?
I've been thinking and thinking about this.
At first, in December year 2006, i blog for myself.
Recently. I blog for them.
I keep track of which post most people view, drop comment most.
I thought, i blog for myself?
I can't blog with no readers.
I can't even blog without following my heart instincts.
When things come so normal and natural, sometimes we just forgot our initial purpose.
We shall remind ourselves to not to forget what we actually wana do.

1st, i blog cause i wanna blog..
when i encounter nuffnang, i blog for money.. that didnt last long, because due to some situation, i didnt have internet for 2 months, that killed most of my readers.. now, my readers are less compared to last time and i didnt earn money more than 2 digits all this while =.= so finally i console myself "whatever la, blog for myself again!" XD
I blog because:
1. I want to share my opinions to the world
2. I want to "freeze" my feelings in some way at a particular time (I could refer back, same as diaries, you could read back)
I somehow like to read advertisements put in blog because they have more personal touch to it.
Whatever your reason is, just don't stop blogging..
Hahas, I used to blog as my dairy when there's no1 reading them but my bf (ex for now).
Then I started to get active in nuffnang I blog for the MONEY, so there's no different between us.
But now I'm back to my original diary purpose cause I'm not in the mood to blog everyday for others but myself so I just add on my older post anytime I want to any updates :)
blog for your own satisfaction... readers is number two.. its a hard thing to satisfied all people.. but at least.. you satisfied with what u had first before satisfied others...
just my 2 cents.. :D
well, though i blog about my life, but i make it a priority to blog something at least my readers can relate too..
and i just concentrate on "arts and crafts", not good on money-making or those flashy, chic lifestyle issues la..
it is easy to simply blog, but i think it is hard to maintain a blog which interest readers of various platforms - which requires you to visit and commenting others too.
I dunno, i see some people who blog and have an introduction something like "this is my blog, i say what ever i like.. if you dont like my blog.. please get out... bla bla bla.." Then i guess, it defeats the reason why you blog. Might as well, you just write your life on a diary right? You blog so that you can have people read your thoughts and engaging with what you have in mind. And now, that is such an interesting journey.. :) knowing what others have to say.
Blogging to means you are prone to attack from anonymous users.

Yes it's true that blogging is supposed to be a personal experience, it's a way of affirming your own views about yourself in relation to the events happening around you, especially so when readers agree & respond to your posts. I'm quite sure that at some point in time, all bloggers have fallen into a phase where they pander to the whims and fancies of the readership. When that happens, we need to take step back & tell ourselves that we should be writing about the things we're most comfortable about. I think it is quite easy to get caught up with hits & popularity as you've mentioned! It's a little like being Pavlov's dog where reward and action goes hand in hand! LOL!
Lol, good question. It's easy to lose sight of why people start blogging in the first place.
The main aim as to why I blog is to entertain. Share fun stuff with all my friends, and maybe some other people. :D
So in a sense, I'm blogging for myself AND for others. Wow, I just typed a Beauty Pageant answer. Haha.

I totally agree; its hard to make out weather you blog for people to read or blog for yourself.
